Principal’s Summer Update

Dear Friends,
I wanted to take a moment to thank you for all that you have done for us this past year. Your generosity has had such a positive impact on the work we do. Specifically, your support has made it possible for us to complete the major project of installing new and improved windows to our beloved school building! Not only do they look great, but they will also keep our students and classrooms cool in the summer and warm in the winter. This is just one of the ways in which your support makes it possible for us to provide the best learning environment for our students
I am also so proud to report that DePaul Catholic had the highest growth in Math and Reading out of all Independence Mission Schools on our NWEA MAP assessment, which measures academic achievement! I have no doubt that the 33 young men and woman who graduated from our school this June are well-prepared – both academically and spiritually – for success in high school and beyond. Of our graduates, I am pleased to report that 67% have chosen to continue their education at a Catholic high school.

Finally, I want to thank all of you who participated in our 2022 DePaul Day of Giving! Because of you, nearly $50,000 was raised in support of our students and our school. These dollars will go a long way to fund tuition assistance, enrich our academic programs, provide updates to our facility and more!

I, along with the entire DePaul Catholic school community, am very grateful for your continued support and interest in our school. As we start this new school year, we hope to have opportunities for friends, like you, to come visit our school and see for yourself all the great things we are doing.  Wishing you many blessings as you enjoy the final days of your summer,
Colleen McKenziePrincipal
